Maraming nagtitrade at naglalagay ng investment sa mga PSE stocks na hindi alam ang composition at weight ng PSEI.
It’s one of the most basic at most important knowledge na dapat alam mo kung nasa PSE market ka.
The index is composed of the 30 largest and most active publicly traded companies in the Philippines, selected based on specific criteria.
The weight of each company is based on its free-float adjusted market capitalization, which is its total market value of outstanding shares.
A company’s weight will change as its share price and the number of outstanding shares change.
The composition of the index is reviewed twice a year, in February and August, by the PSE.
MER and ICT ang naglilift sa PSEI sa ngayon kasi sila lang ang natatanging outlier.
While most ay bumabagsak, sila naman umaakyat.
In general, aangat ang PSEI once yung mga may mabibigat na weight ang umaakyat. Kahit pa bumabagsak yung ibang stocks as long na most of those na may mabibigat na weight ay umaakyat then PSEI will go up.
