Buying A Stock Does Not Make You an Owner of That Company (Yes, They All Lied to You!)
Sabi nila kapag bumili ka shares ng stock ni SM eh part owner ka na ni SM. They lied to you.
Does owning a stock make you a partial owner or does it mean something else?
Most people who are investors are proud to own stocks in the companies they admire. There’s a reason why so many people boast about having stock in JFC, AC, or BDO.
Do not get me wrong. I did trade JFC, AC and BDO this month.
I made money from them.
My students are making money sa trading.
I currently have over half a million profits sa mga trades ko.
But…
That does not mean i won’t tell you the cold hard truth!
Most people have heard the idea that a stock is a share of a corporation or a company. Under this definition, you can buy ownership in a company and that you get more claim to the company and its assets.
This is only partially true—and many of the assumptions people make about owning a stock are outright false. Owning a stock isn’t ownership of a company or its assets. If it meant that, companies wouldn’t issue stock when they try to raise money.
It’s owning the rights that come with having that stock, as well as the stock’s monetary value that make investing in the stock market a worthwhile endeavor.

Yan ang isa sa pinakabasic about stock market na kadalasan ay naiignore or hindi napapasink in ng mga pumapasok sa trading and investing.
