What Is The Most Reliable Technical Indicator?
Ano sa tingin mo ang pinakareliable na technical indicator?
Reliable ha at hindi “popular” ang tinatanong ko.
An admin of ours just posted this question in Traders Den Ph facebook group.
It had caught my attention and made me think.
“Ano nga ba ang pinakareliable na technical indicator.”
I wrote books about technical indicators, and I do know them by their math as well as their origin but yung issue ng reliability is something na napaisip ako.
Paano ba matatawag na reliable ang isang indicator?
Ano ang measurement?
Wins and losses ba?
Mas reliable siya kapag mas madami siyang naibibigay na wins sayo or income sayo?
Lets take MACD for example.
Let me pull out 5 random chart using MACD.
Simple condition lang. Bullish cross ang entry. Bearish cross ang exit.
Based on those 5 examples parang ang reliable ni MACD diba?
But bakit over 95% pa din ng traders ang nagfafail.
MACD is accessible by anyone.
Anybody can use MACD as an indicator.
Bakit marami pa rin ang nagfafail sa trading?
Nasa understanding at pag gamit ng indicator yun.
Let me explain.
Can you use a cup to change your tires?
Hahaha! What a weird question diba?
Kasing weird din ng question na ano ang pinakareliable na technical indicator.
Technical indicators indicate. They do not win you trades. They do not lose you trades.
You cannot rely on them to do something they dont do.
A cup is where you put your coffee in.
You cannot use a cup to change tires.
Technical indicators do not tell you kung ano mangyayare next.
“Uy bullish cross ang MACD meaning nito ay aakyat na ang price 100 percent!”
Ginawa mong bolang kristal ang MACD kung ganun.
If MACD is reliable at kaya ka nitong panalunin sa mga trades mo, sa tingin mo ba walang ibang tao ang makakaisip nun?
Edi ang gagawin ng iba ay uunahan ka nila sa pagpasok at paglabas.
Tapos yung iba ay uunahan din yung mga umuna sayo sa pagpasok at paglabas.
Yung dating reliable ay naging unrealiable na ngayon.
Any technical indicator is reliable to do what it was built to do.
Kung ang indicator mo ay ginawa para magnotify sayo kapag ang difference ng EMA12 at EMA26 ay mas mataas or mas mababa na kesa sa EMA9 nila ay ganun lang din ang gagawin ng indicator mo.
The MACD line formula:
MACD line = 12-day EMA – 26-day EMA
The MACD signal line formula:
Signal line = 9-day EMA of MACD line
Bullish cross happens when MACD is above the signal line.
Bearish cross happens when MACD is below the signal line.
Walang part sa MACD na nagsasabing aangat ang price after a bullish cross.
This is where the misconceptions come in.
Maraming gumagawa sa MACD as some sort of a forecasting or predicting tool.
I only used MACD as an examle but this is true sa lahat ng technical indicator.
Yung trading approach mo ang either reliable or not at hindi yung technical indicator.
Your trading approach include how you understand and how you use technical indicators.
It also include your understanding sa trading in general.
If you see trading as something na pwede mong mahulaan ang mangyayare or something na umiikot sa game of probabilities.
Kung reliable at tama ang trading approach mo ay makikita at makikita yan sa mga trading results mo.
Just this week ay naglock in ako ng 730,000 pesos at nagwithdraw ng 450,000 pesos mula sa profit ng sarili kong mga trades.
This week lang yan.
I did that kasi I approach trading the right way.
The same goes sa mga students namin sa TDSI.
May kumita ng 25,000 pesos this week.
After exit ay nagwithdraw na din siya ng kinita niya.
The rest ay may kanya-kanyang kita din.
Most if not all na indicator ay reliable sa bagay na sinusukat nila or sa purpose nila.
Kung yung hanap mo ay reliable at proper trading approach ay hindi kayang ibigay sayo ng technical indicator lang yun alone.
Those would require a lot of fresh and new concept, ideas and approach.
