A Stock Trader’s New Year Resolution

Bago mag end ang year ay maraming traders ang gumagawa ng New Year’s resolution nila.

Most of the things they say do not make sense and di nga nila alam na it does not make sense kasi mali ang tingin nila sa stock trading.

Let me give you an example.

“In 2022, I plan to have a win rate of 70 percent”

Does that make sense sayo?

It does, right?

Win rate of 70 percent means 7 wins and 3 losses out of 10 trades.

It does make sense sayo. Ang arguement mo lang siguro diyan ay mahirap yun gawin.

Well, let me enlighten you lang a little bit.

Let’s say bumili ka ng DITO sa 5 pesos kahapon. It does not matter anong strategy gamit mo. Elliot wave man yan, moving averages man yan, Darvas ma yan or Fibo man yan. Binili mo si DITO at 5 pesos kahapon. Mananalo ka ba or matatalo today? Aangat ba or babagsak si DITO? Today, mag 5.1 pesos ba si DITO or mag 4.9 pesos?

YOU DO NOT KNOW!

Di mo napipredict ang future. Ang overall result ng buys at sells ng ibang traders/investors/insti ang magdedecide nun.

In short, di mo alam kung win si DITO or loss.

Wala kang control sa outcome ng DITO trade mo.

Now, that is just one example. Isipin mo na lang yung 10 trades na gagawin mo sa 2022.

Paano mo makukuha ang 7 wins at 3 losses?

Hindi siya mahirap. Mahirap means may control ka sa mangyayare kaya lang difficult gawin.

Getting 7 wins with 3 losses sa 10 trades is out of your control.

Possible? Oo naman. Kahit 10 wins pa yan over 10 trades.

Nakadepende yan kay market.

Kay market ha at hindi sayo.

“In 2022, I will make it my goal to earn at least 7 percent sa isang buwan through trading.”

How? Paano if by February eh isang buwan na red ang market?

Possible ba yung 7 percent na gain each month?

Yes. Kahit nga mas malaki pa sa 7 percent. Possible but wala kang control. Its not dependent sayo. Na ke market.

DREAM KILLER

Kung may dream ang isang tao at pinigilan mo, dream killer ka.

May popular term pa nga na uso ngayon which is “limiting beliefs”

 People will project their fears and limiting beliefs onto you.

You can dream all you want sa 2022 but unless mafully grasp mo ang stock trading at stock market ay magsasayang ka lang ng oras.

Iba yung gusto mo maging Doctor kaso mahirap ka.

You worked hard. Naging working student ka. Mahirap but eventually nakayanan mo and you are now one of the best Doctors in the Philippines.

Hindi ganyan ang stock market.

Ang stock market ay walang pake kung mayaman ka man or mahirap. Wala din siya pake kung gusto mo kumita ng 5 percent or 10 percent monthly. Wala din siya pake sa win rate na gusto mo. Wala din siya pake kung nanainiwala ka na may control ka sa kalalabasan ng isang trade.

The market just does what it wants.
