Well, if pagbabasehan mo ang buy back programs ng ibang stock ay inconclusive ang magiging result kasi may mga nagtry magbuyback ng kanilang shares na walang effect sa stock price. Meron din na naging negative pa ang effect while meron din na naging parang catalyst ito na umakyat ang stock price ng company nila.

Buy-backs reduces outstanding shares. Buy-back gives confidence to investors kasi makikita nila na willing bumili at magsupport sa sariling stock ang company kapag nakita nila na undervalued na ito. That is one way to look at buy-backs.

Buybacks can starve the business of money needed in other areas, such as research and development or investment into new products and facilities. Gagamit kasi ang company ng pera kaya maiisip din ng iba na doing a buy-back rather than investing on some projects, new facilities or funding expansions ay panget na paraan ng pag gamit sa pera.

May iilan na nag aakala na may significant effect ang buyback sa EPS or earnings per share kasi nga nababawasan ang outsanding shares.

Buy-back can be good. Buy-back can be bad. Depende yan sa irereact ng market.

Buying a stock dahil may buy-back program sila is not so smart if ako tatanungin. You buy a stock for fundamental or technical reason pero yung buy-back lang alone ang reason mo ay hindi smart kasi andaming stock na nagbabuyback.

Will CNVRG go down some more or aakyat na siya?
