DITO: Remember the Duopoly?

Kung familiar ka sa DUOPOLY na term ay malamang inabot mo ang battle for 3rd telco some years ago kasi ito ang pinakaused na term during those years.

Duopoly is a situation in which two suppliers dominate the market for a commodity or service.

For a very very very long time ay Globe at PLDT (SMART) lang ang naghahari sa Pilipinas in terms of telecommunication services.

During those times ay ampanget pa ng services dahil sa lack of competition which is the main reason bakit nagpush si President Duterte na magkaroon ng 3rd Telco.

I remember nung bago pa lang siya naging presidente ay humiling ito for better services sa dalawang telco and wala masyadong improvement na nangyare.

I’m not a DITO fan like other holders kasi I’m a trader kaya trade lang habol ko sa anuman na stocks but I can admit na yung rise ni DITO ay beneficial sa lahat.

It made GLO and TEL nervous kaya they competed and naging better din services nila.

Yung mga NOW kasi na yan ay nandyan na yan noon pa and hindi nila napush ang two telco giants na mag improve.

Now si DITO ay panay pa din sa pag grow kaya todo din improve ang GLO at TEL and sino ang nakikinabang? Pinoy.

The best way para maimprove ang performance ng isang sector ay lagyan ng competition.
