F*CK OFF INVESTORS!
YIKES
Something is not right with investors lately. I keep receiving a lot of weird comments and emails from investors and I made this blog to address it.
The Questions
“Maam ok pa ba eh hold si JFC kahit loss na ako ng 20 percent?”
“Maam nabili ko si DITO sa 15 pesos for longterm ko sana ito pero loss ako 50 percent. Eh benta ko na ba?”
“Maam yung BDO na hawak ko pula. Ano gagawin ko?”
The Answer
When you invest, you are buying the future. You don’t invest and expect next month or in the next 6 months eh magbubunga na.
You bought the stock dahil sa future growth na nakikita or ineexpect mo. You are not buying with a vision of today. You are buying or betting on the future. That is why you call it investing.
Investor Na Utak Trader
Yung problem kasi sa karamihan ng investor ay prepared sila sa idea but not sa emotional aspect at disiplina na kaakibat ng idea of investing.
Yung problem kasi sa karamihan ng investor ay prepared sila sa idea but not sa emotional aspect at disiplina na kaakibat ng idea of investing.
Investing
So me pera ka and want mo ito i-grow. You wanted a place kung saan pwede mo eh grow yung pera mo and you found out about investing. You bought an undervalued stock na sa tingin mo ay tataas ang value in 5 years. You bought it sa piso and you expect it to be 3 pesos in 5 years. Yung idea ng 1 peso to 3 pesos in 5 years ay naintindihan mo. No question doon. The problem is, di mo totally nacomprehend yung disiplina at emosyun na kasama nun. 5 years. That’s 60 months. That’s 1,800 days. That’s 43,200 hours.
Naranasan mo na ba na 4:50 na sa hapon at yung off mo ay 5 PM? Atat kana umuwe. Panay na shake mo ng knees mo while nakaupo. It feels like forever then pagtingin mo sa watch eh 4:51 pa lang?
Imagine mo yung 43,200 hours or 1,800 days tapos araw araw ka panay silip sa stocks na hawak mo.
Isipin mo halos 5 birthdays, 5 christmas at 5 new year dadaanan mo.
Naintindihan mo yung 1 peso maging 3 pesos in 5 years but not yung reality nun.
Traders Versus Investors
I do not believe na me “versus” between the two kasi magkaiba sila. Yung analogy ko sa dalawa is this: Yung investing is yung act ng pagbili ng egg at i pa hatch into a chicken a few months from now then ibenta ng mahal while yung trading naman is buying an egg at selling it right away to other people with a little profit.
Walang technical indicator sa chart ang makakapagsabi ng growth ng isang business few years from now so di mo rin pwede gamitan TA yung investing.
The Answer
Hahaha. I’m writing this blog as I think. Ok ganito. If investor ka please stop looking sa hawak mo na stock daily. That will only lead to disaster. Ma anxious ka lang. Konting bagsak tatakot ka. Konting angat happy na happy ka. If you plan to keep it for 5 years then check mo lang once a week. Andaming investor ng DITO ang bumili sa 1 peso with an intention of keeping it for 5 years yung kakacheck nila at kakabasa nila comments bout DITO mula sa iba eh nagbenta sila early. Take note na example lang yan at di yan reco para kay DITO. Wala akong hawak na DITO if I’m being honest.
Most ng blogs ko about trading kasi trader ako but I do care for all my TD Family and if investor ka this blog is for you. One more thing. If investor ka na marami kang free time, naku that will work against you din. Maa malaki temptation mo magcheck ng investment mo kaya find something to keep yourself busy or learn trading at eh hiwalay mo trading port mo sa investing port.
If investor ka na gusto mo maglearn paano maging trader dun ako makakahelp sayo kasi if matake mo yung TABULA RASA course at makagraduate ka then solid foundation mo at siguradong kikita ka muna bago ka makagraduate kasi isa yun sa requirements.

Hard Part
The hardest part of being an investor is the waiting period. Your conviction will be tested over and over again through time. I have lots of respect sa mga investors. Hindi madali magstick sa decision mo for 5 years or more. I salute all of you po and wish you all success.
