Leading Indicator Ang Hanap Mo? Edi MagLEVEL 2 Data Ka or DOM!

Sa local market ay meron tayong normal market data at meron din level 2 market data or market depth.

To illustrate the diference ay heto ang quotes screen ng col which is level 1 market data.

You see 5 bids and 5 ask orders.

Then heto naman ang kay Timson Sec which is Level 2 market data.

Mas maraming bids at ask orders ang nakikita mo.

LEADING INDICATOR siya in the sense na nakikita mo ang mga nakapark na orders sa mas maraming levels compared sa ibang traders.

Sa global market naman ay LEVEL 2 or DOM ang tawag.

Depth of market (DOM) is a measure of the supply and demand for liquid, tradeable assets. It is based on the number of open buy and sell orders for a given asset such as a stock or futures contract. The greater the quantity of those orders, the deeper or more liquid, the market is considered to be.

Level 2 is a generalized term for market data that includes the scope of bid and ask prices for a given security. Also called depth of book, Level 2 includes the price book and order book, listing all price levels of quotes submitted to an exchange and each individual quote.

Leading Indicator

Leading indicator is different from “predictors.”

Walang predictive power ang leading indicators. hindi niyan kayang sabihin sayo ang mangyayare sa future.

Pinapakita ng level 2 at DOM sayo ang mga nakapark na orders. Leading in a way na hindi pa sila executed trades pero nakikita mo na sila.

Any orders can be cancelled at any time at may certain orders na kayang itago from level 2 at DOM. Yan ang main dilemma with level 2 and DOM kasi useful siya in some cases pero useless din in some cases.

It lets you see orders deeper than others but hindi niya maipakita sayo ang mga hidden orders at hindi niya din masisiguro na yung mga nakita mong orders ahead ay maeexecute nga or macacancel.

Its how you approach level 2 and DOM yung key.

It can be a helpful tool or it can lead you to a lot of false analysis.

Nasa tamang approach ang key sa successful trading.
