Long-Only Market Has An Effect?
Ang PSE market ay “long-only” market meaning pwede ka lang bumili or maglong pero hindi ka pwedeng magshort sa PSE sa ngayon.
Ang pwede mo lang pagkakitaan ay kapag bumili ka sa cheaper na price at nakapagbenta ka sa mas mahal na price.
Dividends will give you an income pero that is not part of this topic.
Isang way lang ang pwede mong pagkakitaan. Long or buy lang.
Other markets especially the US stock market ay may mga long trades at short trades.
Pwede kang kumita as the price go up using long trade at pwede kang kumita as the price goes down as a short trade.
Dito sa PSE kikita ka lang kapag umaakyat ang price.
Now, this long-only market has an effect to prices.
Ano ang effect niya?
Let me illustrate it using a chart.
Let me plot some basic support and resistance levels kay BLOOM.
Dahil long-only market ang PSE, ang gamit mo sa support ay pangcheck lang if maghohold ang price.
Kapag naghold ang price ay solid na support level siya.
Yan lang ang gamit mo sa kanya.
Walang short entry sa break ng support level kasi nga wala namang shorting sa PSE.
That leaves you with one option.
Trade the RESISTANCE BREAKOUT!
Since pwede ka lang kumita kapag umaakyat ang price then resistance dapat ang binabantayan mo.
Breakout sa resistance ang play mo dapat.
You need to avoid buying sa support or adding shares sa support.
Sa resistance break ka dapat bumibili or nag-aabang kasi yun yung level na mabibreak lang kapag umakyat ang price.
Yung support kapag nabreak ay lalo mo lang ikakatalo kasi wala naman shorting.
Ang stoploss or cutloss point mo ay dapat below support kasi that would tell you na once hindi naghold ang support ay eexit ka na.
Stop looking at support levels as bodega levels.
Nasa LONG-ONLY market ka.
Resistance Breakout ang mas nagmamatter dito kasi pumepera ang traders dito sa mga uptrend at price increase.
