MAYNILAD IPO is A Good Buy?

Maynilad Water Services Inc. has priced its initial public offering (IPO) at P15 per share, valuing its stock market debut this month at P34.33 billion.

Maynilad will offer up to 2.3 billion shares from Oct. 23 to Oct. 29. The concessionaire will list under the ticker “MYNLD” on Nov. 7

The IPO would be the biggest in the Philippines since instant noodle giant Monde Nissin raised $1 billion from its maiden share sale in 2021.

Maynilad, which plans to use proceeds from the offering for capital expenditures and general corporate purposes, booked 7.5 billion pesos in first-half net income, up 19% from the same period in 2024.

The utility said in its prospectus that available cashflow for dividend payouts may “increase significantly” from 2028 onwards due to lower capital expenditure requirements. The company plans to distribute about 50% of its net income as annual dividend, according to its prospectus.

Good buy ba si MAYNILAD?

I’m a trader kaya I do not buy IPO.

I usually just trade it once may momentum na siya after malist.

But I do believe na water is a necessity tapos may okay na dividend policy pa ang Maynilad.

Kung may extrang pera ka na wala ka naman use then you can give this IPO a try. Do your own due diligence lang para informed na decision ang magawa mo instead mahype ka.
