$MRC: Cup And Handle Pattern
Ang cup and handle ay isang bullish pattern.
Some call it bullish continuation pattern.
Ang basic na idea ay ganito. Aakyat ang price or at least gagawa ng high bago bumagsak.
It will continue to drop until magkaroon ng bottom then magsisimula na naman na umakyat.
Yung pag-akyat niya ay andun lang banda titigil sa high niya nakaraan kaya parang curve ang makikita mo. Parang u-shaped siya. It resembles a bowl.
U-shaped at hindi V. Why? Kapag kasi V na shape ang ginawa ay parang sobrang sharp or sobrang bilis ng pagreverse ng price and yung mga ganyan na galaw kadalasan ay hindi nasusustain kaya if familiar ka sa head and shoulders na pattern ay yun ang concept ng pattern na yun. To fast and sharp na move up na walang support kaya nagbibreakdown.
Pagdating sa pattern kasi ng candles, ang mahalaga ay maintindihan mo ano ang idea or principle behind at hindi lang na makakita ka ng hugis ay yun na sya.
U-shaped ang sa cup and handle kasi reversals take time para di siya bounce lang.
So nagform na ng bowl meaning bumagsak na ang price at umakyat ulit.
Nagkaroon ng resistance sa previous na high.
This is where some traders lose logic.
Its not na “kailangan magkaroon ng resistance para mabuo ang pattern.”
Its more on nagkaroon ng resistance kaya nabuo ang pattern.
“Dapat equal sa previous na high ang new high para cup talaga.”
Nooooo!
Ano to contest ng perfect na cup?
Its not the pattern but the idea behind.
Pwedeng hindi same high as long as nasa zone. Di naman labi ng cup ang point ng pattern para magperfect. Ang idea ay may high, bumagsak, nagreverse, nagrecover then bumagsak ulit but dahil sa reversal siya ay mas may volume ang pagrecover niya kaya ultimately ay aakyat siya.
Nagkaroon ng resistance sa zone or area ng old high then bumagsak. Ang pagbagsak ay shallow lang. Its more of a retracement at minsan nga magrarange lang ang price muna. Mahalaga ang ganun na movement kasi ang mafoform nun ay handle.
Again, hindi siya kailangan magretrace or magrange but nagretrace at nagrange kaya naform ang handle.
Since nagrange ang price ay pwede ka magplot ng diagonal or horizontal support and resistance using highs at lows or pwede rin na channel. Ang pagplot mo na ito ay may one purpose. Its not about making a handle sa cup but its about a breakout.
Balikan natin ulit ang pattern.
Nagkaroon ng high at bumagsak. Nagrecover or nagreverse paakyat ulit then umabot sa zone or area ng resistance sabay bumagsak ulit ang price. Since di siya fast recovery or sharp recovery ay may buyers pressure ang move kaya ang pagbagsak ay di masustain. Magrange lang ito then aakyat ulit breaking the resistance na naplot mo using highs ng range.
Once nagbreakout ay pwede mo na itrade ang pattern na ito.
Entry sa breakout at set ng cutloss below breakout.
Pwede rin entry sa breakout at set a percentage-based cutloss point if di nagtuloy.
Lahat ba ng cup and handle ay successful? No.
May mga nagsucceed at may mga nagfail.
Tradeable pattern ang tawag sa ganito meaning kapag gumawa ng ganitong pattern ang price ay pwede mong itrade.
Si market pa rin ultimately ang magdedecide ano mangyayare after.
Some traders treat CUP AND HANDLE as a surebol thing. Its not.
It gives you something to trade lang. Naging pattern kasi maraming beses na nangyare pero under pa din sa mercy ni market yan.
If nakita mo ang ganitong pattern ay approach mo ito as a trade at hindi isang surebol na bagay para di ka mafrustrate.
Wag mo sisihin ang pattern kasi minsan nagsusucceed yan at minsan naman nagfafail.
Lets see what happens kay MRC.
