Risks No More Than 2% Of Your Available Capital On Any Single Trade(Here Is What’s Wrong With This Principle)
The 2% rule is an investing/trading strategy where an investor risks no more than 2% of their available capital on any single trade.
This is wildly accepted sa trading community na naging cliche na.
“I only risk 2 percent of my capital sa trade.”
Go ahead and ask how their trades are going after nila magsabi ng ganyan.
It’s not wrong to risk 2 percent of your capital but its not right either.
That confused face you make when I said its not wrong yet its not right either id funny to me.
So…..
I guess you do think na plug and play ang risk management?
Let me give you an example para maintindihan mo better.
May dalawang trader. Si Jonathan at si Lito.
Si Jonathan ay may BP (capital) na 1,000,000 pesos.
Si Lito ay may BP na 200,000 pesos.
They traded different stocks pero they both used this very popular 2% risk.
Jonathan traded risking a maximum of 20,000 pesos.
Si Lito nagtrade risking a maximum of 4,000 pesos.
They both ended up losing.
Nagcut si Jonathan and lost 20,000 pesos.
Si Lito ay lumaki ang loss niya into 10,000 pesos at hawak-hawak niya pa rin ang stock.
Gets mo na ang idea sa example na yan?
Yang 2 percent risk sa overall capital ay pang newbie na idea yan.
Yan ang iniinject na idea kapag zero knowledge ka talaga sa trading.
As you experience more ay marerealize mo na yung risk ay more or less personal.
May mga traders na okay matalo ng 20,000 pesos.
Meron din mga traders na di na makatulog sa 2,000 pesos na loss.
If di ka makatulog sa 2,000 pesos na loss at nagkaloss ka ng 3,000 pesos ay sa tingin mo ba macucutloss mo yun?
