What is a stoploss?

A stop loss is a type of order that investors or traders use to limit their potential losses in the stock market.

Bawat broker ay may kanya-kanyang tawag sa stoploss at may iba’t ibang uri ng order ang stoploss.

Kapag wala kang basic na understanding on how trading works ay hindi mo fully macocomprehend how a stoploss works.

Unahin natin ang “myth” or ang understanding ng karamihan about a stoploss.

Bumili ka ng stock, currency pair or crypto coin sa 1 dollar kunyare. Naglagay ka ng stoploss sa 0.95 cents.

Anuman ang mangyare ay makakaexit ka sa 0.95 cents.

Yan ang understanding ng karamihan which is more or less ay hindi true or at least hindi entirely true.

Stoploss is an order.

Yung buong trading ay governed ng auction yan tipong may buyer at seller.

You can have an order pero as long na walang buyer or seller (depende if nakalong ka or short) sa order price mo na yun ay di ka mabibigyan doon.

Complicated?

Lets say naglagay ka ng stoploss sa 0.95 cents. Nakalong position ka.

Umabot ang price sa 0.95 cents pero walang buyer sa 0.95 cents.

Will your stoploss order be filled? Kahit walang buyer ay magmamagically filled ang order mo?

No. It will be filled at the next price na may buyer. Kung sa 0.94 may buyer ay doon yan mafifill.

Stoploss is just an order at susunod pa din yan sa auction na system ng trading.

Kung di mo naiintindihan ang basics ng trading ay di mo talaga agad maiintindihan how a stoploss work.

The same goes sa pagfoforecast ng price.

No one can predict the future at kapag ang trading strategy or system na gamit mo ay may forecasting ability then mali na yun agad kasi di siya sumusunod sa fact na walang may nakakapredict ng future.

A lot of traders fail in trading dahil sa mga simpleng principles ng trading na either di nila natutunan nung nagsisimula pa lang sila which is crucial or totally walang nagturo sa kanila.
